What BIV is all About...
College baseball coaches receive hundreds of inquiries from high
school baseball players every year. Most of these young men
want teaching, exposure and guidance in the recruiting process.
Personally responding to each inquiry becomes an almost impossible
task. Coaches cannot always answer players' specific questions
because they simply do not know all of these young men, and they
have not seen them play. The BEST IN VIRGINIA SHOWCASE CAMP is
specifically designed to provide the committed high school player
with opportunities to:
• Refine and develop his skills
• Be tutored by the game's best teachers
• Compete daily with peers from across the U.S in intensive
league play
• Develop relationships with and showcase his game before
college coaches
In short, we provide answers and training solutions to the questions
commonly asked by today's high school player. We spend five intensive
days dedicated to teaching players how to turn potential into
reality and fundamental into "feel."
Meals, Lodging & Facilities
Campers will receive three nutritious meals per day in the modern,
air-conditioned Settle Hall, and be housed in the historic,
air-conditioned Cushing and Carpenter Venable Residence Halls
on the campus of Hampden-Sydney College. Hampden-Sydney boasts
nearly 1000 acres of campus grounds, including two newly refurbished
baseball fields, two hitting areas (nine cages, three flip
net areas and two bunting stations), supplemental practice
fields, video rooms, classrooms, and a complete weight room.
